“The school does have high expectations of the children.”

“School strength: Being able to recognise my child’s ability and encouraging her to take learning to the next level.”

“High standard of work ethic.”

Parents' Questionnaire comments, Autumn 2023.

At Balshaw Lane, we have always aimed to offer a vibrant, progressive curriculum in a happy environment.

Whilst we aim for high academic standards, test results are not our sole purpose.

We want our pupils to leave school feeling confident, with a strong desire for life-long learning.
